CareFest 2013
For CareFest 2013, we came together to work on a home in our ownneighborhood, which was also the project with the most volunteers in St. Petersburg. Way to go!
CareFest is a community service day held each fall. CareFest unites churches, businesses, organizations and cities for the purpose of serving our communities together. This week of caring culminates in a day-long work day in which hundreds of volunteers in different locations throughout our service area come together to beautify and repair homes and neighborhoods. These projects are identified through local government offices, churches and ministries. The city of St. Petersburg has been the winner of the CareFest 2013 Care Cup trophy for six consecutive years, for the most volunteers and projects completed. For more information, please visit the CareFest website.

CareFest 2011
Several of our neighbors, along with about 20 folks from Holy Family Church and another 10 from Riviera Bay helped a neighbor from the Riviera Bay neighborhood clean up her yard. Carefest is an annual event where neighbors come together to help each other. If you could use our assistance next year, please contact one of the NETNA board members.
Playground Dedication
On Saturday, May 28, 2011, NETNA hosted a dedication ceremony of Toussie Terrace Community Playground with Councilman Jim Kennedy, former Mayor Rick Baker, and Father Tapp of Holy Family Church.
Neighborhood Clean-Up
On Sunday, February 20, 2011, several neighbors came together to clean up Robin's Roost, the preserve land behind Locust Street NE.
Keep Pinellas Beautiful generously offered their trash pickers, some trash bags, and various other supplies that cam in handy as we spent over two hours deep in the mangroves clearing an estimated 250 pounds of garbage!
Thank you to all who helped - we'll do it again later in the year.
